With 20+ years of ever-growing experience repairing and modifying my own homes and renovation properties, I want to use my skills and experience to help seniors in their homes. Recognizing that small changes often make a big difference, the assistive desire of Fixing It Forward was born.
My parents were always hands on, so I learned to create with my hands. As a showroom manager at a tile/stone store after college, I learned the installation side of that trade. both technical and practical (through showroom remodels). While an in-home senior caregiver, I developed such a heart for seniors from seeing how needs can change and how supportive modifications can make substantial positive changes. I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to work on many different projects at 6 of my own properties. Learning what works (and what doesn’t) has come from tradesmen, YouTube and, most of all, from jumping into the renovation. Many projects were an option only because I was doing the work myself, so I’m ever mindful of the budget and final result.
With a foundation of experience and praise from others, I’m ready to offer handyman services to seniors, helping them live independently for as long as possible, through the work of Fixing It Forward.
